At the direction of lawmakers, the PUCT is adopting more comprehensive requirements for Emergency Operations Plans (EOP). As a result, electric utilities, transmission operators and power generators must file plans for improved communications, robust supply chains, cold weather events and cyberattacks by April 15, reports Utility Dive.
“I think this rule is timely, given the situation that the country may face with foreign actors who may have an interest in our system, and the reliability of our system,” said Commissioner Will McAdams.
