Various approaches to achieving sustainable jet fuels were outlined in the Presentations at the American Chemical Society’s Fall 2020 conference last week, reports the Energy News Network. Experts also discussed ways to implement these cleaner fuels without having to change much else about the business, allowing things to run as usual while using fuels with lower lifecycle emissions.
Current approaches to sustainable aviation fuels include a focus on offsetting greenhouse gas emissions by using fuels made with renewable resources, such as biofuels like non-edible crop materials.
