Wind installations in 2020 accounted for 42% of new power added to the nation’s electricity capacity, with record installation amounts representing $24.6 billion in new development, reports Bloomberg.
Other areas of clean energy are booming as well, with solar power accounting for 38% of new capacity. All in all, 80% of new power added to the grid in 2020 came from renewable sources.
