Ford Motor Co. is set to purchase 600MW of solar energy from DTE Energy to power manufacturing facilities in Michigan, reports The Detroit News.
The power purchase will allow all of Ford’s vehicle manufacturing in the state to be powered entirely by renewable energy, contributing to the company’s goal to power all of its global facilities with renewable energy by 2035.
