NextEra, the leading U.S. renewables developer, reports that its development has been unaffected by COVID-19, with no delays expected for any of its 2020 projects, according to  GreenTech Media.

The company also predicted that it will spend $1 billion on battery projects in 2021, which would make NextEra the first company in the world to spend more than 1$ billion on energy storage in one year.

NextEra also plans to add wind, solar and batteries through its utilities, Florida Power & Light and Gulf Power.
