Agriculture may soon see the boom of electrification spreading across other industries as battery technology breakthroughs have allowed for the development of battery-powered farm equipment, reports Bloomberg.
In the U.S. alone, tractors burn 5.3 billion gallons of fuel a year, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, and agriculture accounts for 10% of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions.
